Amazon.com Complaint - Amazon charged credit card twice
I have a Amazon.com account, which Citibank is the issuer of my account.
On my Oct. statement I was charged for purchases I made. total amounts were $69.62, $28.70, and $199.99.
I went online to check to make sure my payment was credited and I noticed that my account was over the limit. I knew this wasn't right.
I pulled up the 6 month activity popup and discovered that Amazon had charged the same 3 amounts again on 11/01/06.
I called them and they said that the 3 transactions failed to go thorough but I told them they were on my Oct. statement. But they insisted that they weren't.
Now I got my Nov. statement and there they are again. I told them that I would e-mail both copies to them but nobody has called me back.
The credit card company is checking into this but I haven't heard anything from them either.
So what do you do when you have written proof that they did this but keep insisting that they are right?
