NC Home Furniture Complaint - Good products, terrible service and shipping

WELLS, MAINE -- We recently built a 7 BR beach home in Maine. The house was to be finsihed in June and we ordered and paid for every item in January. We were assured that the longest it would take for any item to be shipped was 12 weeks. Most of the order was complete by May but they would not ship until the last 11 ( of 52) items were avaialble. These last 11 items, mostly beds,
never arrived. The shipping company they used arrived a day late without apprising us( I had hired help on the scheduled day, not the day they arrived). They left a large truckload of cardboard in the soaking rain that took hours to load and truck off to the dump. Yes, they were supposed to take it.
The products were fine, but if you need something by a certain date, don't even conisder that you will be saving money pre-paying for items that you might never see. The service and communication was a nightmare. And consistent with the whole fiasco, it took them until late August (since June) to refund my nearly $4000 for the itmes that they could never find/deliver. I was surprised and relieved that an outfit so dysfunctional stayed in business long enough to even send my refund.

At least you got your refund. I'm still waiting. And I got no furniture. Consider yourself very lucky. Apparently they're facing many more complaints.
