Starbucks Complaint - Starbucks - refuse to honor warranty
NEW JERSEY -- My husband and I purchased a 12 cup coffee maker from Starbucks ($150.00) less than a year ago. It has a two year warranty. It stopped working and they refuse to honor the warranty because they decided to discontinue the product. They recalled the 8 cup version. They offered us a store credit of $60.00. We don't want money we want a coffee maker, either ours fixed or a replacement. They refuse. Why would we want to accept a $60.00 store credit? So we can turn around and give them our money again? They care more about money then they do their customers satisfaction. They must have forgot who gave them their millions! We are not people of means, but we spend a lot of money at Starbucks. We won't any more! The senior representative that was supposedly helping us, named Kathleen, was an uncaring robot. She wasn't willing to help at all. I am shocked and appauled at how Starbucks treats their customers. I will do my part in making consumers aware. What upsets me the most is the amount of money I've given them already. I was a loyal customer. I cannot believe that a multimillion dollar company treats their customers this way, especially when I know they could afford to replace the unit. Like I said, we are not people of means, we cannot afford to make such a purchase again, especially this time of year. I have to say, I purchased a Krup and had that running for 10 years!
