Gage Furniture, Austin Complaint - Worst customer service

AUSTIN, TEXAS -- I regret having gone to Gage Furniture for purchasing home furniture. They never deliver furniture on time, worse when we had asked for refund on furniture (we did not even receive) they made it really difficult to get the money back. The sales representative said that we had to pay a penalty if we were to cancel our order on the remaining items. Also they promised maintenance, warranty services and did not deliver those services yet.

I totally agree. I purchased a chair 12/06. It was delivered with the wrong upholstery 8 weeks later. The delivery guy said this was pretty common, and called Gage - they said for us to keep the chair and a new one would be reordered to replace it. I called a week later - no record of the reorder and they wouldn't reorder until the sales person that sold us the chair was working...but she was out for a few days. Called back again. She reorders. I ask for a faster turn than the standard 6-8 weeks since they made the mistake. Nope. 6-8 weeks. It's no 8 weeks. No chair. I've been calling for an update on the delivery. Nobody knows - I need to talk to the sales person that sold it to me - and she's out. Asked to have her call us. No call. I call back - she's out - no callback...and so on, and so on. I demanded to speak with the sales manager - but I already was!

Very bad customer service + poorly managed + bad relationship with their suppliers = I'm not shopping there again.
