PayPal Complaint - PayPal Buyer Protection is CRAP!!
COMPTON, CALIFORNIA -- After reading a couple of reviews, I realized that my experience is not alone and it also confirmed that eBay and PayPal are all CRAP!!
There are a lot of conman around (eBay Power Seller) that are well verse of the eBay and PayPal processes. They have no intention to deliver the item to you in the first place. To my case, the guy invited me to deal outside of eBay: “it is still available, if you want it send $17 (includes item and usps global priority mail as requested) via paypal to email@example.com and i will ship the item tomorrow”. While I am eagerly to get the item, I paid through PayPal on Oct 1. After a couple of emails asking for status, the conman replied: “the item is en route via usps air mail” and “please calm down , the item has been shipped and is on the way” on Oct 5 and Oct 16. Without much progress, I have no choice but to escalate the dispute to a claim as “non-receipt” in PayPal on Oct 17. Guess what it was working, the conman mailed the item with the USPS postage stamp indicated as Oct 18 using Letter Post!
On Oct 25 I requested for the refund of the shipping charges difference, but then the conman replied: “a few things this was not an ebay transaction, so why are you assuming that you were charged the same amount that the item price what was listed for in an auction format? i gave you a price for the entire transaction....you have recvd the item with my apologies for delayed shipment but nonetheless you have recvd the item our transaction is completed you will not receive any refund from me thank you” and he also sent an email to PayPal: “attn paypal: please note that the individual has received the item in question, thereby removing the case for claim of non receipt. thank you”.
On Nov 8, PayPal wrote to me: “We regret to inform you that we were unable to resolve this case in your favor because the claim was incomplete, filed incorrectly, or outside the bounds of coverage as defined in our User Agreement.” I believed this is so-called the “non-receipt” scenario. Case should be closed by then. But there are some interesting activities appeared in my case like “Refund initiated” and “Refund issued” by PayPal indicated in the history. I have not received a single cent from anyone, so what did those transactions mean? Obviously someone in PayPal wanted to make “Good” of the case. I have demanded for explanation for those transactions, but no answer as of now.
So what is PayPal Buyer Protection you think?
