FamousParts.com Complaint - No followup - Robertshaw 41-411 HSI furnace part

CASA GRANDE, ARIZONA -- I ordered this part on 11/2/06 and it arrived Fedex 11/7/06 which was prompt. It, however, was packaged badly and being a very fragile part, was broken in about 4 pieces when I opened the box. I immediately called them and they told me that they would send out an RMA for this part and a replacement one at the same time. I contacted them a week later, and was told they would go check out the warehouse and get one out to me if there wasn't one already on the way. Then on 11/18, I called and they told me they would have me one on Monday or Tuesday. Tuesday rolled around and I spoke to an employee who told me to go take a leap. Send them back their part, dispute it with paypal, and then I would get a full refund and I could decide whether or not I wanted to do business with them again. When I explained all that had gone on and needed to see if one of the 3 that had been promised to me were on their way, he simply hung up on me.

Leslie ordered a 41-411 hot surface ignitor for $22.06 this part was shipped from the manufacture direct to the customer it is packaged in a factory box with 4" X 4" X 6" foam then shipped in a 2nd box. which are inspected b-4 shipping the claim is with UPS the shipper if there are damages which is insured for $100.00 or the Factory.

Our policy has always been no refunds on Hot Surface ignitors which is published on our site because they are so brittle to handle. we tried to connect the customer with the shipper & UPS
