Wal-Mart Complaint - Misrepresentation of thanksgiving day after sale items
SUFFOLK, VIRGINIA -- Suffolk, Va-Walmart Super Center-Nov.24,2006-52" Widescreen RCA television
Secret items advertised were to be available only after 05:00 AM in the store. Each store had a minimum of 3. Upon arrival @ the store @ 04:30 AM, We were directed to get in line. The associates employed by the store were not helpful with any details regarding how this sale was to be conducted. When we reached the front of the line we noticed some customers had "tickets" for the items they were in line to purchase. When we asked if we needed "a ticket" to purchase one of the Tv's we were interested in, we were told the store only had "3" and people already received their tickets @ 11:00 PM the previous night !!!! It was our understanding that these items were not available until 05:00 AM in the store, yet people already held the tickets from the previous night. Therefore, getting up @ 3:30 in the morning and driving from North Carolina to Virginia to be at the store in time for the "Special Sale" was a waste of our time, a lie to the community and a misrepresentation of intention to the customers. In other words A RIP OFF... When we approached the store manager, we were very abrubtly brushed off with the explanation that the store only had 3 TVs for that Sale and he would not; actually he REFUSED to explain how the people got tickets for the item the evening before. I guess you have to be related to the manager in order to benefit from the sales advertised. We will be taking our business to Target or some other franchise in the future. We have had enough of Walmarts lies.
