Ashley Furniture Complaint - Ashley Furniture Poor Customer Service
My husband and I purchased a dining set from Ashley Furniture Store in Hoover, AL and arranged to pick the furniture up ourselves the coming weekend at the warehouse in Leeds, AL. Per the instructions given to us by our sales associate at the store, we were to call the number THEY provided (printed on their paperwork) to assure the furniture was actually there before making the trip to pick it up. We were told that we only had 72 hours to pick up the furniture. We followed their instructions to the letter, but could not get an answer at the number provided. We went to the warehouse and kept calling on our way, but still never an answer. We get to the warehouse and were told that the furniture was not there, and that we should have called. We gave them the paperwork with the number we'd been calling and were informed that that was the WRONG number. I immediately called the "Hoover" number that too was on the paper, to try and get something straightened out with them on delivery. I thought it funny that the same exchange was used for all locations, Hoover, Leeds, and Huntsville, all hours away from each other, but...what can you do? I was on hold forever, at least 30 minutes and was shuffled around from person to person, none of them being of any help. I asked to speak to someone actually in the Hoover store, and I was lied to and told that they were in the Hoover store. Several calls and 3 hours later, I find out that the person I was speaking with was in North Alabama in Huntsville...not Hoover. I called local information and asked for the Hoover number. They've got to have local numbers, right? Someone answered, I was put on hold again. This matter has yet to be resolved, and no one has bothered to call us back as of yet. I'm not holding my breath. My issue here is that I'm having a Christmas Open House tomorrow, and am expecting 450 - 500 people in my home....with NO dining furniture.
