Wal-Mart Complaint - My 2007 engine was LOCKED up by Walmart
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE -- I took my 2007 Toyota Camry to Walmart on Bell road in Nashville TN for a oil change. I was November 22, 2006. The day before Thanksgiving. I trusted Wal-Mart to complete this simple task; however, I am VERY upset about the results. They forgot to put the oil cap on my car, and placed a 2004 Nissan Altima oil filter on my car. I was able to drive off the lot, and make it to the next stop light when I noticed my oil light was on. While turning around to go back to Wal Mart, my car went dead in the middle of a busy intersection. I called Walmart, and it took the almost one hour to get to me. Wal-mart did not want to take ownership of their mistake. They wanted to me to pay out of my pocket for a rental car. I was able to make it home to see my family for Thanksgiving. I did have to come out almost 516.00 for rental fees in which I am still waiting to refunded for.
Wal-Mart later explained that they don't have a record of which Toyota dealership they took it to; therefore my car was then lost. I didn't know where my car was, and neither did they. They have tried to REPAIR my engine, but I refuse to settle. My engine was not a repaired engine when I took it in, and I don't want to have a repaired engine on a BRAND new car. My car had only 2970 miles on it when I took it in, and now its ruined.
I am still fighting this case in court.
