Qwest Informative - Rebate denial - rebate service
ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA -- First, let me say, I have read the reviews about Qwest problems and agree with most as I have experienced problems with changing service, DSL and overcharges for items not leased etc.
My most recent problem has to do with a promotional scheme to get me to switch from my wireless company of many years which was cheap to their wireless service. The promise was two phones for the price of one. 2 months ago, I received my phones and service agreement. I sent in the rebate with all the trimmings-bar codes. 2 months later, still no rebate, but a letter arrives telling me that I did not send in the rebate bar codes required therefore send them or no rebate. Well, I did send in the requested bar codes 2 months ago and of course trashed the boxes 2 months ago. What timing. Because of my complaint, they did offer me 25 dollars and I said 50 dollars or no deal.
It is to say I did not buy, pay for or receive the instrument attached to my belt.
It seems to be a legal con job by Qwest.
You can bet I will leave them when the contract I was sucked into is up. Who knows what Qwest will do to me next.
