BellSouth Complaint - BellSouth Internet service
ARDEN, NORTH CAROLINA -- BellSouth is the best internet service in my area. It is also the worst internet service. Point is, it's the ONLY Internet service I have available. My anger and frustration is at an all-time high. First, BellSouth Internet service (which I will refer to as "BS" from here on out)recently "improved" their spam protection software. As a result, many people - myself included - lost much valid email through it being misidentified as spam. The customer furor was such that a few weeks ago BS reverted to their old anti-spam methods. At no time did BS notify customers what was happening. Consequently, people did not know of their missing email or how to prevent it from being automatically thrown out! To add insult to injury BS has evidently transferred most, if not all, of its Tech Support to India. The language difficulty and lack of detailed technical knowledge of these Tech Support people have made it nearly impossible to resolve technical issues.
If I had an alternative I'd quit my BS account.With the pending merger with AT&T I expect service and support to get even worse. Add to that that Duane Ackerman, the Chairman and CEO of BS received over $12M in direct and indirect compensation in 2005.
If he reported to me he'd be out of a job in ther blink of an eye. He really doesn't give a damn about the quality of service as far as I can tell.
