Intrav Complaint - Journey of the Czars
CAPE CORAL, FLORIDA -- Our trip had dates of 9-4-06 thru 9-17-06. Our domestic flight had one hour to change plans to our international flight in Miami. When we arrived at the Lufthansa counter we were informed the flight had left. We were advised by the counter agent that it was impossible to make the change within one hour. They were good enough to rebook us for the next day and make arrangements for overnite in Miami(at our expense). When we arrived in Frankfurt the next day we went standby to St Petersburg Russia. We were suppose to be on our boat. the Novikov Priboy on Tuesday evening but due to the missed flight and standby into St Petersburg we boarded at 1:30AM Thursday. It was further complicated as our luggage didn't arrive with us. As a result we had our one ourfit which we were wearing until day 13 when we were able to pick up our luggage at the Moscow airport after paying $100.00 for a cab. Intrav didn't make any effort for guidance to purchase replacement clothing or toiletries which was very disappointing. We were unable to participate in one of the tours as it was raining and we had no alternate clothing. Correspondence with Intrav was answered and they were sorry but didn't feel they had any responsibility in the matter. I really feel it was their total responsibility bu not allowwing us enough time between the domestic and international flight. This was our 4th experience with Intrav. The first three were excellent.
