Southwest Dealer Services Informative - Misrepresentation of car alarm warranty

Review by qrt2006 on 2006-12-05
PHOENIX, ARIZONA -- The company staff assured me that the company would reimburse my costs--towing, rental, and dealer assessment--when their car alarm caused a short in my ignition system and stranded me. To date, they have only offered $180 of what cost me over $450.

Unfortunately what they SAY doesn't count. Only what is in the written contract matters. If you are sure your contract covers your situation DO NOT cash their check. File a claim against them in small claims court. They will probably reconsider their offer.

Actually they are liable for the entire repair provided that you can prove the damage was a direct result of their installation. I believe this type of problem would fall under the Magnusson-Moss act. You will have to pursue it in small claims court, but you should win. Good Luck
