Delta Airlines Complaint - Must have credit card if flight/purchase is <5 Days
WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA -- My mother passed away last night. I made Delta reservations for my family to fly from various locations to Atlanta. Delta said all of them must physically possess my credit card to fly... if they did not have it they could not board, but I would be charged as they were considered no shows.
The call center (overseas) did not care if the children attended the funeral... my problem... should have read the rules... book somewhere else... but still pay us. NEVER FLY DELTA IF LESS THAN 5 DAYS.
Called American Express Plantinum. Helpful... spoke English; told me I had to go to the local airport and show Delta agent my card with their confirmation number... but boarding passes could not be printed in advance, must check luggage inside, etc. Am Express also stated Delta LIED (my words not theirs) about it taking 5 days.
