Super Stores of America Complaint - dissatisfied with service
FRESNO, CALIFORNIA -- I purchased a bedroom set through one of this companies subsidearies, Mor Furniture for Less on January 8, 2002. This was a new item, so it was not in stock yet. They said it should be in at the warehouse in about 3 weeks.I was notified that the furniture was in stock January 31, 2002 and that it could be delivered on February 2, 2002, That was fine. The delivery department schedule me an approxement time of delivery of 11:00am to 3:00pm. That time was also fine. No one showed up by 3'oclock, so I called the store to find out if any thing happened. I was then notified that my delivery time was change to 1:00pm to 5:00pm, without my notification. They did show up at about 4:00pm but they did not have all my merchandise on the delivery truck. The drivers called the office and found out that the footboard of my bed was left off the truck. Due to the late nature of the day the warehouse could not deliver that night. The warehouse said that I could go pick it up and that it would be set aside for me when I got there. When I arrived at the warehouse, after I waited for over a half an hour I was informed that they did not have the foot board in stock and that it would not be in until at the earlest the next friday. I was contacted multiple time with false claims that the merchandise was in stock. When finally I was called stating that it was in stock I had it delivered. Yet again, it was another headboard. I called the store, warehouse and corporate headquarters and spoke with a total of 7 people, who all stated that they would fix the problem and call me right back. I was not called by any of the employees like promised. I told all employees I talked with that if I did not get my merchandise like promised that I would return the merchandise I did receive and contact the local BBB, City of Fresno buisness licence department and possible an attorney. I want some compensation for all the problems that this store and company keep handing me.
To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following:
I want my correct merchandise with a monatary discount for the problems that I have receiced or I want to be able to return the merchandise that I do have with out any restocking fee(10% of the purchase price)
At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident. Thank you for your time.
