GM Credit Card Services Complaint - Credit Card Offers in the Mail
SALINAS, CALIFORNIA -- GM offered a credit card for balance transfers at an extremely competitive rate and in large letters that credit would be extended up to a larger limit. I completed the application attached, however they did not give the indicated credit limit, but a much lower limit, then applied the credit they extended to an account that I did not wish this amount to be applied. When called to request that they simply correct the transfer designation, they claimed they could not do that, when requested to simply cancel the transaction, they same could be done if they got their money back. I got the other bank to send them back their money, and requested that they waive their $36.10 transfer fee, they refused. This is after being 'disconnected' 3 times, in their attempts to connect me to the correct person.
In my opinion their customer services leaves much to be desired. It is my opinion their invitations to apply for their credit cards are misleading. Their respect for new and potential customers is by far questionable in my opinion, as my $36.10 obviously means more to them than the hundreds of dollars they would have made interest if they'd serviced me correctly.
Don't be fooled by them, throw out the invitation as it is "JUNK" mail
