Seeing my crystal ball is in the shop, I am going to need to ask you to provide details.

When I canceled my LA Fitness account I did it by mail and had no problems. I also never had a problem with unauthorized billing or rude staff so yeah... we need more details.

Details can be given, if neccessary, after communication with the co.

Well, writing this report doesn't help anything or anyone then. No one is going to go on your word when there are no details to your story.

You need to give details up front. This letter as is will most likely be tossed. I know that if I were on the receiving end of this letter, it would go into my trash can!

I believe you! I've had a "what was I thinking" moment when I signed a 6 month contract for personal training. I specifically asked for a trainer at 5:30 am and they said sure! No problem. They just wouldn't be able to find a trainer until after the holidays.... also after the 8 day limit to cancel... then they called me and said that they don't have trainers at 5:30 am. It was after the 8 days and too bad I had to pay, and they hung up on me. That simple. They have no ethics and they lie.

Thank You Destin, for believing me. I hope other people realize it too about cheating and being disrespectful to their valued clients, thereby loosing their trust in them. In early Dec, I was charged $225.00 & $34.99 to my account for personal trainer, which was NOT at all authorized by me and no contract signed to that effect, nor any services used by me. Shocked to see this I visited their center for refund and was uncourteously and unprofessionally treated by the manager, instead of resolving the issue. Is this the way they treat their customers, can you believe this? Very dissapionted and annoyed,I called their corporate office, the CSR assured me to call back soon, but never did till now, its been 3 weeks. Then on 18th dec, I wrote a certified mailed letter to their president, which has not been replied yet. Should they not take this matter seriously to aviod any further steps taken in this regard to retain their esteem in competative business industry of today?

I just found out today how difficult it is to cancel a membership at LA Fitness. When I enrolled my son and his friend a few months ago, the 2 gentlemen at LA Fitness were very courteous and friendly. When I went to their facility the other night to cancel my son's friend's membership (which I'm paying for), I was greeted by another gentlemen who courteously handed me a cancellation form and told me to fill it out and just drop it off anytime at their office and they will take care of it. I dropped the completed cancellation form last night at their office and was promptly told by the lady at the counter that I needed to mail it to their head office. When I informed her about the earlier conversation I had with the gentleman, she said that she would mail the cancellation form personally for me. Today, I got a call from the gym manager who said that I had to pick up the form and mail it myself. I can't believe that staff from a service-oriented organization is giving me this kind of "service"! Now I understand what people are saying when they say that there are companies out there who make it very difficult to for people to get out of their contracts. Let this be a warning to people who are thinking of joining LA Fitness.
