Fenwald german shepherd breeder wonderlake Illinois Complaint - "Buys" dogs yet never paid for

Review by DoJustice on 2006-12-18
WONDER LAKE, ILLINOIS -- This puppy mill bought TWO years ago, 10 dogs from my friend in Europe, and never paid for them.

(Breeder is a term which can only used for those who are in it for the betterment of the breed, hence everything else is a puppy mill)

These 10 dogs were $22,000.-- total. She paid for the transportation to the USA and that was the end of it.
She put down a perfectly healthy 6 month old Champion Sired pup because on him she didn't have the papers yet from Europe.
She failed to have papers on a male and female with which she continued to breed under other dogs' names. Those two dogs are missing too now.

I filed a court action to confiscate the dogs after about 18 months of patiently waiting for payment. The court approved it and I went to Illinois and there were FOUR dogs left out of 10.

Now, of course, we are after her in court for payment in full and the civil suit will ensue for the large amounts of money she made on the breedings she did with the dogs. She breeds the females BACK TO BACK all the time.

Please dear readers, refrain from buying from 'breeders' over the internet UNLESS you can clearly see evidence that they are on the up and up. The testimonial pages can easily be made up.
Go online, type in that breeders name and see what turns up. In this pup mill's case, there is a site called RIPOFFREPORT.COM which she shows up on with many complaints.

On it she filed fake complaints against me, just to harass me. That is where I have trouble with that website and such like those, where I have proof she is lying about me, yet that site's manager will not remove it.

I am attempting to strike back with posting on any site that can spread the word about this crook, help the public protect and educate itself, and ultimately put her out of business.

Meantime, she does all sorts of unethical business dealings, no papers on dogs, uses multiple sires on her females, so the buyer doesn't really know who the sire is, breeds dogs which carry EPI, a deadly disease, and the list goes on.

Please do your homework when shopping for ANY dog on the internet!

"...there is a site called RIPOFFREPORT.COM which she shows up on with many complaints."

That site which you refer to is run by a notorious con artist by the name of Ed Magedson. While I assume that there are many legitimate complaints filed on that site, I don't believe anything I read there, because anyone can post anything about anyone else, true or not!

The other side of the coin with regard to that site is that if you dare post anything questioning the validity of someone's complaint, it's immediately stricken. Many of the complaints on that site smell of vendetta.

I agree with Hugh. The only worthwhile(lol) aspect of that site is the entertainment value.

So why would your "friend" sell puppies to a puppy mill? That's horrible.

I'm trying to figure out why somebody would allow their dogs to be shipped without payment in advance.
