I ordered a Shiatsu Massage Cushion on 12/5/2006 from http://www.tvmarketplace.net which came to a total of $108. I expected that this would allow plenty of time for delivery by Christmas.

I got an e-mail note acknowledging my order on December 12th.

No indication that they had shipped anything by December 19th, so I tried to phone them to cancel -- every one of their phone numbers said "mailbox is full", even the FAX number. I sent them an e-mail note asking them to cancel the order.

The following morning I tried the phone again, got through to voice-mail on the last phone number (617-314-9713) and repeated the request to cancel.

I got a response to my e-mail note the evening of December 20th letting me know that the order had been canceled. (I ordered the same item from SharperImage the evening of the 20th and they delivered by December 22nd for no extra delivery charge).

I got an e-mail response to my phone message on December 28th confirming that the order had been canceled.

I got an e-mail notice on January 5th letting me know that they were behind on answering e-mail notes, but they should get to it "next week".

Then the "big one" --
On January 28th, they tried FOUR TIMES to charge my MasterCard account, one of them was "denied" by the card company because they got the address wrong, but the other three created "authorization" entries on the account, reducing my available balance by $324 (the original purchase was for a total of $108).

I tried both e-mail and phone calls, and I finally got a PERSON on one of their phone numbers -- he found the record of the cancellation and said they would reascend the charge.

The three "authorizations" on the MasterCard account expired after 10 days and the $324 became available again.
