Travelocity Complaint - Travelocity will not refund for a cancelled flight
BURBANK, CALIFORNIA -- I was supposed to be on one of the flights to Denver that was cancelled yesterday (December 20) due to the blizzard.
I had a round trip ticket and have made other arrangements to get there (flying on Christmas Day) without Travelocity because they said they couldn't help me.
They gave me the option of a refund or trying to get on standby.
Southwest has a ticket, so I bought it. Then I requested that Travelocity refund my money for the DECEMBER 20th flight ONLY. i want to keep my return flight. They are telling me no. That I have to cancel BOTH. WHY??? If I buy 2 pairs of pants and one rips I don't have to return both. And this was not within my control. This was a flight cancelled due to a storm, not missed because I didn't show up.
They are saying that is the airlines policy. And yet, the airline told me that they already approved them to refund these tickets. So what the hell? They just want to keep my money.
I will never use Travelocity again. lesson learned.
