MILFORD, MASSACHUSETTS -- A Toyota dealer took my trade-in vechile, but did not provide any value for the car and did not inclued the trade-in on the lease. The dealer artifically inflated the price of the car, took a large down payment,artifically inflated the monthly payments and wrote the lease for fewer miles then agreed upon. That dealer is now out of business and though monthly payments go to Toyota Financial, Toyota owns the car and can control the buy out price and other conditions of the lease, they are refusing to do anything. While Toyota financial admits that this particular lease is an especially poor deal, they are refusing to negociate fair terms. If you buy or lease through a Toyota dealer beware of that dealer. If that dealer uses dishonest business practices or goes out of business, Toyota will not help their customers receive fair treatment and will enforce poor terms and illeagal practices employed by their dealerships.
