MyPoints.com, Inc. Complaint - Poor Shopping Point Service
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA -- I have been a loyal member of MyPoints for years and until recently have earned all of my point through reading BonusMail. During the holidays I decided to earn more points by doing my Christmas shopping online instead of going through the hassle of fighting the crowds at the malls.
The problem I've encountered is the tracking that is used for shopping. I did all of my shopping through MyPoints mainly and NONE of the shopping points for that period of time were credited to my account. I've had to PROVE every purchase with MyPoints Customer Service to get those points, which has been VERY time consuming. I'm still waiting on a good chuck of those points to be credited to my account.
I would not say that customer service (while friendly) is very proactive, you have to take charge to get what you earned. It's frankly a pain (when you have followed ALL of their guidelines and gone through all of the links to earn the points) to have to go through and prove all of your purchases.
I'm disappointed that it's been such a hassle because I will think long and hard before referring another friend to MyPoints. Once I have earned the reward I wanted I will stop doing my shopping though MyPoints until these problems have been resolved and I feel that it is a reliable service because I do not have the time to keep hounding MyPoints about crediting my account.
At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident, and not from one of your customer service representatives because it's a bigger problem then them. Thank you for your time.
