Volvo of Nashville Informative - Volvo of Nashville - Poor Business Practices
NASHVILLE - LAFAYETTE ST/M'BORO RD., TENNESSEE -- Took my Volvo in for service at Volvo of Nashville. Was quoted one price for repairs and agreed to $1330.00 When the car was ready, was given $500+ higher price. I disputed the amount, personnel got very nasty. Tried to hold the key to my car but...since I hadn't turned in the key to their rental, that tactic didn't work. I wrote a check for the quoted amount of $1330.00
Drove my car off their lot only to find it now had even further problems - damaged fuel line and missing fuses. Had that been a problem when I took the car in, they would have suggested it be repaired at once. My fuel line was damaged....I had my children in this car! Incredibly dangerous!! I then put a stop payment on the check and advised owner John Tune I had done so. Sent a certified letter stating I would send a second check less the additional costs I had endured once the car was repaired. Had to rent a car and endure further charges...having the car towed to another mechanic who fixed the car properly.
The owner of Volvo of Nashville, John Tune, certainly does not conduct business in the manner his Father did. He turned my check over to a collection agency for "insufficient funds." Not true! He knew very well that I had put a stop payment on the check (Saturday) before he ever tried to cash it. Deceitful on his behalf. Now I will not send a second check until he withdraws my info from the collection agency. I've also filed a complaint with the BBB.
Would highly suggest seeking someone else to repair a Volvo instead of going to Volvo of Nashville. Their business practices are obviously sub par.
