Country Hound cafe Informative - Food - Restaurant

Review by anny on 2007-01-01
ENGLEWOOD, FLORIDA -- I was just at the Country Hound Cafe in Englewood,Fl where we had breakfast. The food was not very good we had a traditionl breakfast eggs, bacon, grits, biscuits, coffee. The overeasy eggs were to done, the grits were very thick and dry on top,and the biscuits were very plain and falling apart. The omeletes they make in the pan on other people's plates looked good that seems to be there specialty. They took off the money for the grits, which was nice. We would have gone to coney island but they were closed for the first. Next time we'll have the omelet in the pan. The owner is from up north and we have never gone to a restaurant in the south run by someone from north that has a cook that really knows how to make grits right. I guess we'll have to cook our own. Better luck next time.

Grits are GOOD if you know how to cook them. I like Velveeta cheese and Grits, not to dry but not soupy either. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM---MM!

The quest for a rational explanation of the human mind has always started with the task of defining the relationship between mind and matter: is our mind made of matter? Or is it made from Grits?

I have nothing to do with Velveeta...ever. It's scheese - substitute cheese. We started adding an "s" to everything that was definitely not the real deal. We started doing it in Vegas. Starting with sbreasts.

Note to self: Never speak to Shakra about Velveeta Cheese or fake breasts. lol.....
Shakra, actually that is a very good point most food is fake or partly fake now a day just like fake breast seem to be a common place thing. I must ponder this more... Thank you

Have you ever had sbutter? It is so nasty. Here's the line of the fatty products - butter at the top, margarine, oleo and then sbutter. Be careful of those $1.99 breakfasts in Las Vegas now.
