Lock and Key Restaurant Informative - Superb food and service

Review by anny on 2007-01-02
ENGLEWOOD, FLORIDA -- I was recently at the lock and key restaurant on englewood beach where we go once in awhile, this time it was for new years, the food was excellent as always and the service from our waitress was great she was form Rhode Island, efficient, friendly, courteous,. The oysters on the half shell were very delicious and fresh, our shrimp baskets were great and the coleslaw was very good. Our tea was good also. They make a great pumpkin bread for dessert among other things. If you're ever on the beach in Englewood Fl. stop by you won't regret it this is one of my favorite places and one of the best restaurants in the area. Then you can leave there and take a left up the street to the white elephant and have drinks and music on the outdoor dock overlooking the water very nice for relaxation. I don't recommend eating there though. They have redone the lock and key and it still has that florida style while looking new also. Try there margarita's! I'm glad that there is still some places that have good food and service which is hard to find these days. It is hard to find parking sometimes you have to park across the street at the beach or next door there are so many people there!! Try them you might like them

Hi Anny, I will stop by Englewood after I visit my uncle in Port Charlotte, FL on Jan 30th. I will give LOCK AND KEY RESTAURANT a try. It sounds so good to eat there that you just made my mouth water! Englewood Beach is locked and loaded on Jan 30th!
