Dr. Pepper Complaint - Don't Deny God! - Dr. Pepper

Review by Anonymous on 2002-02-17
I want to make it very clear that as an American, I am deeply offended that you had the audacity to leave out the all-important words "under God" from our Pledge of Allegiance on your new Dr. Pepper cans. It seems you have taken it upon yourself to rewrite our country's Pledge of Allegiance in order not to offend those who don't believe in God.

I also want you to know that I am joining the public boycott of Dr. Pepper until such time as you rethink your advertising decision. Yanking the cans off the shelves won't be sufficient to correct this error. I demand you have new cans printed, with the words "under God" included in the Pledge of Allegiance and distribute them!

Don't worry Dr. Pepper! All of those who don't believe in the same god as the right wing religious nuts will still buy your fine products!

Shouldn't you be watching Jerry Falwell's latest paid shill instead of spending time online?

Praise JEBUS!

I agree with you but I think a boycott of the Dr. Pepper product is a little too much.

Obviously, you have not a clue that there are lots of people in this country who do not believe in the Judeo-Christian mono-theistic god. But then, I am sure you will placate yourself with the thought that we who do not believe as you do will burn in hell. And that's okay, because I'm sure they will be serving Dr. Pepper there!

And if the original letter writer knew anything about history, he, she, or it would know that the words "under god" were added during the McCarthy "there's a commie lurking in every shadow!" era of American history. But since most foaming Fundies are on some sort of witch hunt like ol' Boozin' Joe, then I guess it's sort of appropriate that they would object to the absence of the words. As for me, I plan to buy twice as much Dr. Pepper as I normally do just to annoy the Fundie nutcases.

I will continue to buy Dr.Pepper. When will the religious freaks realize that not everyone thinks like they do?

Take the bible banter somewhere else.

I agree with Anonymous 2/17/2002.
you should boycott the Dr. Pepper
company. To all you other people who think that this person is going too far and who you think is a religious freak, you need to remember that there is only ONE GOD and he created all of us on this planet. All of you that don't accept GOD into your hearts are going to be living in hell with the devil. not us devoted God loving people. Judgment Day will be here soon enough and you non believers will find your souls lost forever.

OH MY F#C^IN GOD! GIVE IT A REST WE OBVIOSLY DO NOT CARE IF WE BURN IN HELL. You religious freaks are the the ones who rape small children and everyone knows this. LMFAO.

For those of you who "don't believe", I feel for you and pray for you. Some day EVERY one of you will be put in a position in which you are asking for God to help you. Why not start today? Or at least have an open mind to those of us who have.

I agree with the writer. Why should "our God" be taken out of and left off of everything just to satisfy a bunch of non beleivers. If you don't believe in God, then what's the difference? We have just as much right to believe as you non-believers have to not believe. So get a grip and get on with your lives. And you won't be drinking Dr. Pepper in hell either, wishful thinking on your part!
Posted by Anonymous on 2002-05-06:
I am very sorry for all of the non-beleivers. They don't have anything to do in this life but to try to have GOD's name removed from everything. Why should you few have the right to try to take my GOD away from me? You don't! Find something to due to help the country, trying to remove God from everything is not a lot to be proud of. And as far as Christians raping little chiledren. I would have to say that is non-beleivers who do that type of unGODLY thing. If they believed than they would not do it. Try to find something more productive to do in your life than to try to destroy something that you will never be able to destroy and that is GOD and our FAITH in GOD. We will pray for you.

Keep your prayers to yourself.I don't need or want them. What a sad wasteful group of people you "believers" are.
Posted by Anonymous on 2002-05-07:
Prayers are never wasted, only your time in trying to stop religion. What makes you think you are better than those who do believe? There are wrongdoers in all walks of life. Not just in "people" like you, Christians, non-Christians, Blacks, Whites, Reds, all have evil and wrong doers. You are not exempt, no matter how superior you feel you are.

Dear Sorry for You!
Thank you! You can tell by their comments what type of people they are. If Dr. Pepper chooses to change things, then we will choose to change from Dr. Pepper. Hey we have rights too!

I feel sorry for all the believers...all they do is harass me about my lack of belief.
Posted by Anonymous on 2002-05-29:
Dear sorry for the believers - Read the notes, see who's harassing who! Don't feel sorry for those of us who believe, we do not need sympathy.

People....It's a Can. A can that's going to be used, crumpled up and tossed in a trash can or on the side of the road. What are you going to do frame it after you've emptied it. Do you think putting the "under God" part is going to make it taste any better. OK why don't you non believers keep enjoying the wonderful taste of Dr. Pepper and you believers to a magic marker and write in the "Under God". Or better yet..Switch to Coca-Cola!!
Posted by Anonymous on 2002-07-18:
you've got it Coca-Cola! Like we said, we will switch! That's our choice! If it's not such a big deal - why the big deal to have it taken off. Isn't there an amendment about "freedom of speech"!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
