Smart Styles Complaint - Not enough help; too long of a wait
If anyone is not familiar with Smart Styles, it's the haircut place that's usually found inside a Wal-Mart Supercenter. Anyways, I've been going to get my hair cut at this place for quite some time, but recently the business has gone downhill. Today was the third time I had to walk out. Where to begin.
So I walk in and I put my name on the list. Simple procedure, no problem with that. I wrote that I got there at 1:25 PM. There were only two stylists on duty. So I wait and I wait and I wait. I only had two people ahead of me. Then 3:00 PM rolls around and one of the stylists leaves right after she finished with the guy ahead of me. So there is only one stylist on duty who was doing a perm. At about 3:05 PM, she tells me and another customer that it's going to be AT LEAST another 45 minutes before she finishes with this one lady and that I would have to wait until 4 PM for the other stylist to come in. I just walked up, left, and drove a ways to a local barber shop I've been going to for years, where upon entering I was serviced automatically, prompting me to give the barber a nice tip.
To sum it all up, Smart Styles, or the one in particular I go to, used to run well because they would have at least four stylists on duty and I was able to get in and get out fairly quickly. Now in order for me to just get a simple haircut there, I would have to schedule some sort of appointment or else I will be expected to wait at least two hours before being serviced.
