POSTE.IT/POSTE.COM Informative - Fraud Charges - Postage

Review by Handle2 on 2007-01-04
Somehow, someway, WWW.POSTE.IT has cashed in on $611.68 of my checking account through use of my debit card information. I don't know how they got it, but they wiped me out. My bank, First-Fed of the Midwest is investigating the incident. The website is in Italian, and operates out of Roma, Italy. I do not even speak or read Italian. Not to mention I have never heard of nor seen the site in my life.

Somebody robbed me, and they did it though POSTE.COM's Italian site. Beware of giving your info to anyone, and make sure you have insurance/protection on your funds.

What did your bank do? I know my bank would reverse the charges back into my account through the dispute the department and then start an investigation. You may not be out of this money, so call your bank.
