Red Fish Blue Fish Complaint - Customer Service
ST PAUL, MINNESOTA -- On Sunday, February 17th I had dined in your restraunt for brunch with my grandmother and a friend. We met at 10:30 am. We ordered coffee and said that we needed a minute before ordering. Our server took about ten minutes before comming for our order. We placed our request and enjoyed nice conversation. At about 11:20 we began to wonder what is taking so long as your restraunt was not very full. Our server came to our table to inform us that the waffel that my friend had ordered would not be comming and advised him to order something else. Shortly after this I decided to get a paper and had gone to the cashier for change, at which time our server was just putting in the order for my friend and instructing the chef to get it out right away. I thought this to be somewhat frusterating but let it go and went to get my paper. We went through the paper and chatted some more befor noticing our server sitting at the bar. I then got up to ask when he thought that our food would be ready to which he replied 'I don't know, I don't work here.' Confused I asked him what he was talking about. Again, 'I don't work here any longer, I am just a guest.' Now, all I wanted was our food so I asked a different server if he knew what was going on and if he would be able to help us. He seemed about as confused as myself but indeed got our food out and filled our coffee mugs. Our food was cold (but very good), so our new server offered to warm it up. He ended up bringing my grandmother a new order which was lovely and we kept ours thinking that you can not properly reheat eggs. Later in the day our bill was dropped off with the waffel added to it. I asked to speak with the manager hoping that some things would be cleared up. To my surprise he removed the waffel and the second order but left the rest for us. As an ex-manager of a restraunt and someone who has been in this industry for years, I thought that the whole situation was handeled very poorly. I am unaware of our servers name, however he is apparently no longer employed with you anyway. The gentleman who helped us through was extremely plesent. I am however not impressed with the way that the manager handeled the situation. We did not get out of there untill 12:45. If it were my restraunt I am sure that I would have taken care of the bill and offered a gift certificate in hopes of a return visit. Overall I have to say that the food was excelent but the experience far below expected.
At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident. Thank you for your time.
