DirecTV Inc Complaint - How does a company function
SHELTON, CONNECTICUT -- I have not one good thing to say about this company. It has been nightmare after nightmare from the beginning of service 6 years ago. The servicemen are absolutely dumbfounded every single time they have been here (when they actually decide to show up), and it has been many. My husband or I have always wound up on the roof, or figuring the problem out ourselves after watching some numbskull walk around for 2 hours only to leave with the explanation that they need a 'part' that they, of course, do not have in their big van parked in front of the house. Needless to say, the issues have been rehearsed over and over again with a dozen different representatives, who conveniently get disconnected after an hour of steps--turning on the t.v., turning off the t.v., trying that again, resettting the box, blah blah blah. We have lost service for weeks/months at a time. We have gone through four boxes? so far. Issues with cards, re-conditioned units, etc. etc. Now, we are experiencing problems AGAIN. The box is getting stuck and won't record, etc. Pretty soon, we will be without service again for weeks.
Then there is the part where you have to deal with bill adjusting, which is always fun. Why pay for a months service when you have not been able to watch your television? My issues do not lie with not having T.V. I can live without it. But I cannot live with the fact that I am paying through the nose for a service that just is NOT worth it. You are at their mercy once you get that dish up. They know that. Who would consider going to cable when you've already invested in all of the parts for satellite t.v.? It's a crime...truly it is. Something should be done. Be smart, do NOT sign on with this company. I guarantee you, you WILL have problems. In all the years that I've had cable service, I never once experienced anything so shoddy. Actually, none of my utilities have ever caused me so much chaos.
We are definitely switching this time. I have completely had it. Shame on you, Direct TV.
