Panara Bread Informative - Good stuff

Review by 14600 on 2007-01-08
OKLAHOMA -- I'm usually no fan of national restaurant chains as they tend to be like eating nuked food from the frozen section at Sam's Club but I must say Panera Bread is good. Just got finished eating a lemon chicken artichoke sandwich on rye with French onion soup. Pretty tasty. Their chocolate croissants are to die for and I'm a big fan of the sour dough loafs.

I frequent the store in my home town of Norman (boomer-sooner) Oklahoma and they are the tops. I also go to the one by my girl friend's house in the poorer part of the metro - Midwest City (east-side represent)and they do alright too although I do get a little annoyed at the misspellings on some of the tattoos but I guess live and let live. Overall for a large chain Panera Bread does a good job. I recommend it to the M3C membership.

Mrs. Pirate raves about the place too, but I won't go to a place that doesn't serve beer and hotwings, and has servers in hot pants and tight t-shirts.

I like Panera. The portions are kind small and expensive but it is still very good.

Love their Asiago cheese bagels. Don't need anything added: no toasting and buttering, no cream cheese. Just a cup o' joe and that big ol' bagel!

'Extended Warranty' - I kind of like the small portions. I think most restaurants give you too much food which leads to overeating or waste. The price.. yeah, it's a few bucks more than going to subway but it's worth it.

zork, as pwp alluded to they don't serve alcohol and also they don’t cash payroll checks so its no surprise you've never been there.

Ponie, yah!!!

Stew, you just earned a "helpful" vote from me!

*LOL* Good one, Stewart. Leave it to you to review a meal that has the words "choke, chicken, crossiants and loafs in the same paragraph. Brilliant!

Your material is not only weak, but it's old as well, zork.

Stew made me hungry.

I love Panera! Where do you all get the idea the portions are small? I think they are huge!

Oh gawd... I misspelled Panera in the title! Now I feel like a tard! That is so not 'Star Worthy'. My self imposed penance – Tomorrow Diet Pepsi instead of Diet Coke and Alanis Morrisette instead of Tori Amos. (Double barrel aversion therapy)

If it happens again.. I'll get medieval on my own arse.. Arby's for lunch.

Over priced and expensive small portions. I go to the deli across the street for fresher and larger portions at a reasonable price.

I am also a big fan of Panera... we havethem cater our business luncheons at work pretty regularly.

Good for you, Stew! You spelled Arby's right! LOL...it's the sentiment, not the spelling, that matters.

They are a bit pricey as PassingBy said... that is a big negative... it always runs us about $20 to eat there for two...

I too am a fan of Panera and I like the smaller portions.
PS. Stew don't worry about missspelling, why I would have never seen that if you didn't write "I misspelled Panera in the title!" and now I will not be able to let you forget it...lol

I hate the smaller portions. If you don't want to overeat, why don't you just control yourself?
