Biltmore Hotel Complaint - Very upset after what I've heard
HIGH POINT, NORTH CAROLINA -- I recently spoke with a friend of mine who advised me that he had recently had a run-in at your hotel at 4400 Regency Drive in High Point, NC on January 6, 2007. My friend was in a bad auto accident and the person who hit my friend's car was chasing him down Eastchester Road/Hwy 68. When my friend spotted your hotel, he ran inside of the front lobby to seek assistance. The individual who hit my friend's car was now chasing him inside with a club that he removed from his car's trunk!
When my friend asked for the receptionist to call 911, she sharply replied "you have a cell phone, why can't you do it?" Gee, maybe because he had a man chasing him with a club! Then the receptionist shouted for my friend to shut up and stop trying to rouse the guests. Well, my friend became very upset and finally was able to call 911 himself. In the meantime, the criminal who was chasing my friend fled the scene. This horrible man has not yet been caught!
The issue I am the most upset about is that there were NO security cameras either inside the lobby or outside facing the parking lot. What kind of willy-nilly kind of "security" do you have here? I mean, how am I to feel safe if I were to stay in your hotel? I surely don't believe I would feel safe, knowing what I know now!
Also, if I were in danger and a guest at your hotel, would you also refuse me a phone call to 911? How long does it take to call them anyway??
In conclusion, I will NOT be sending my friends or family to any of your hotels within the United States. I will also make sure to HEARTILY share my disdain for your unethical treatment of people in general.
