Buy.com Complaint - Refund still not here
I recently purchased and returned a replacment lamp for my infocus digital projector from buy.com because it was the wron one. First I would like to say that at no time was I informed on the status of the return I always had to call and wait on hold forever. That aside, on January 5,2007 we received an email stating "We are happy to report that a refund of $319.60 on 1/2/2007 has been issued towards your original payment method. Please note that it may take two to five business days for your bank to apply the refund to your account." Sincerely, PhilipBuy.com Customer Servicewww.buy.com. It is January 12th and have ye to receive this refund evn though they stated that ithad alredy ben refunded. So we called and were told againg that we should have the rfund in 1-2 business days. They already told us that two days ago. We asked to speak to a manager and we were told that our "claim" would be accelerated. What claim? If it was already refunded as they said there should not be any "Claim". The manager told us that she would call us back today and let us know what was going on. No cal of course, so I called them again! The lady wouldl only tell me that a letter had been sent to corporate and that a I needed to just wait 24 hours and someone would call me back. Now it is Friday and it is a 4 day weekend..I reeally dount that their corporate employees work tomorrow. She was just telling me something to try adn get me off the phone. Then the worst part..afer explainign why I needed the money so bad...I waited for some sort of repsonse and she said."I sorry what did you say?" I was totally humiliated. She had not listened to one thing I had said. At that point I had had it. So now I sit and wait for them to send a response and on thier our time..as to where me 319.60 is. The guys practice fraud at it's best...do not do business with them, unless you enjoy your money held hostage.
