Lifestyle:Family Fitness Informative - Read Your Contract Fully Before Signing !!!

Review by Frenchy on 2007-01-18
LARGO, FLORIDA -- Read your paperwork Entirely before signing. I purchased a membership but unfortunately I was injured at work and had to discontinue the membership. But When I tried to stop my membership and get a refund, following there explicit rules to discontinue my membership due to health reasons , I supplied medical reports from Doctors and Specialists that they asked for and after faxing them and bringing them into the facility. I was given a bunch of garbage from the management and was denied any refund and had to pay for something I could no longer use due to my health problems. Shame on Lifestyle, Explain your rules better and enforce them properly and with some compassion. Your refund and discontinue procedure sucks, and what happened to the Customers always right. Cooporate America at it's best or worse here. Thanks alot for nothing. A very unhappy ex-Customer

Since their rules permit cancellation for medical reasons and they refused even though you provided all the necessary documents, then file a suit on small claims court. As soon as they get the summons you get your money back.

'what happened to the Customers always right.' The screwball who coined that phrase is playing Double Solitaire by himself. You said it yourself: Read Your Contract Fully Before Signing. There have been times when I've received the short end of the stick in a transaction, but rules are rules, and I abided by them. I didn't expect an exception be made because I was the customer--therefore I'm right.

I read somewhere Sam Walton thought the customer was always right. People in the 'Biz' thought he was plain nuts for bending over backwards to satisfy the customer. Those people ended up out of business but hmmm... what ever happened to Sam Walton.. Maybe he was wrong after all.
