Black & Decker Power Tools Compliment - Digital Advantage Iron - irons
irons - Compliment

My Black & Decker iron Model 30 something gave up the ghost so I went to the Walmarts not far from my home to purchase the same model. That one had lasted for five or more years I guess, so I planned to buy the same model and be done and finished. You guessed it..none to be found, discontinued I suppose.
I grab the basic Black & Decker model which was called the Classic, closest to the model 30 whatever, and purchased it. Well, I used it three times and it's about the worst I've ever seen. After speaking to a neighbor it seems her son, off at school, used an iron twice a year and would certainly appreciate my Classic model iron. He's like some employees at my office who come in looking like they slept in a ditch the night before, so I knew he wasn't too particular.
This time I go to K-Marts, closest to my office, and look at the iron selection. Same as Walmarts. I select the Black & Decker Digital Advantage this time. I used it for the first time today. It has more controls than a rocket. Who needs a control for the quantity of steam or a digital control for the heating portion unless he is running a laundry business out of his garage? I thought "here we go again".
This ends up being a really nice iron. It has a long cord, one can see the amount of water in the iron, has a nice teflon base and gets the job done. What more does one want out of an iron? When yours wears out give this model a try. I'm pleased with mine.
