Call-a-Mattress Informative - Quality of Bedding - Mattresses

Review by catalyst07 on 2007-01-21
GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA -- I recently purchased a full sized box spring and mattress from this company, located in Gainesville, FL. Although their customer service skills were satisfactory, and they delivered when they promised to, the mattress itself SUCKED! After about a week of sleeping on it, I noticed that I could feel every spring coil right through the so-called "Pillow Top" mattress. And when changing the bedding, I cut myself on a sharp nail or staple that protruded from the box spring. There were also no tags on the Mattress, and when I asked them about that I got a decidedly vague answer. My concern was that may be it was a used mattress, although it looked new. So, if mattress shopping again, I will be sure to avoid this store!

Don't you have 30 days to return to them? The scary part is that they are legally allowed to repackage the mattress and sell it as new.

Yup, they had a clip of the repackaged mattress on Tv a few years back, but I was under the impression that it was not legal. The mattresses where downright disgusting underneath the new covering.

Thanks for the info. I'd like to add that "pillow-top" mattresses lose the pillowiness very fast. And you cannot flip the mattress either.

Thanks for the info. I never new they could just re-packe and sell as new. But I do think there is a law about taking the tags off?
