Legacy Trading Company Complaint - Completely Unethical

Review by LuckyHomme on 2007-01-24
DALLAS, TEXAS -- Legacy Trading Company is well-known in the Dallas area as a completely unethical business in dealing with artists and craftsmen. Our own experience? The store left us with over six thousand dollars in unpaid invoices for delivered merchandise and failed to pay for over six thousand dollars in samples that were never paid for, which are now hanging in a decorative showroom at the Dallas World Trade Center, despite being stolen from our company. If you want to be swindled out of money and product, work with Legacy and its completely dishonest owners and employees! Also, we had no way of knowing how corrupt this company is until far too late...many people, including former employees, weren't comfortable warning us because the owners apparently use the legal system, in the form of frivolous and harassing lawsuits, to threaten anyone they dislike with crippling legal fees.

If you have a contract for the sale why not place a lien on the merchandise? That would stop them from selling anything until it's paid for or force then to return it all.

I don't want to sound like a jerk but you say "Legacy Trading Company is well-known in the Dallas area as a completely unethical business in dealing with artists and craftsmen" why when you knew this did you do business with them anyway?
If you have the recipe I would go to the show room with a cop and tell them either pay or we must take them away.

I live in the Dallas area and am glad to know this; however if I were you I would just sue them right back. Good luck.
