Brakeworld Complaint - No refund after order cancelled and parts not sent

I ordered brake parts on June 16th. I cancelled the order that same day because my mechanic would not use customer supplied parts. The parts were not shipped. I have been trying to get a refund which they promised but have yet received it. They say they can't credit my Visa. They willsend a check which they have not done. Every time I call I'm put into voice mail and no calls are returned.

They are jerking you around. They can credit your Visa just as easily as they charged it. When they told you they would send you a check it was only a stall tactic to get you past the usual 60 day time frame the credit card requires for a dispute. Your problem may be that you have waited too long.

Agreed with tnchuck100.7 I would go to Brakeworld so they would not have to mail the check.

There is no reason why they can't credit your CC. I also don't understand why your mechanic won't use parts supplied by you. That's fishy also.

Call VISA, and dispute the charge. End of story. As for the mechanic: some feel uncomfortable putting their good name on the line with parts that they are not familiar with.
