We have been doing business with **name removed** for several years. We have purchased 3 pieces of equipment in the worth of $25,000.00 from him, and were a satisfied customer.

Until one day, he called us that the company on one of the machines has a $2,000.00 upgrade on the equipment, and he would like to take our scoring machine along with him to the company demo, and in return he will give us this upgrade free of charge.Being naive, and having had very good prior business experience with him, we believed and went for the deal.

On Wednesday December 6 of 2006 he came to our shop and took our machine along with him, promising to return it on Monday the 11th of December.
After a couple of days not hearing anything from him we started to call him, but he would never answer,or return our call. After 2 weeks he finally called back, saying he broke the machine, and is waiting for insurance. 8 weeks have passed. Whenever we call he just bangs the phone down on us, before even giving us a chance to start speaking, and of course never returns any of our calls. He simply stole the equipment under our nose, and walked off. If there is anyone that can help me with this issue please contact me at

Have you called the police and filed a theft report?

I have to agree with Ken - call the cops and report it stolen.

Talk to your company's attorney. You may be able to sue them for not only the machine but lost revenue.

I agree call the police, file a theft report and then start proceedings for a suit immediately. That is just plain out theft. Good luck.
