Sirius Satellite Radio Complaint - Unacceptable customer service
VIRGINIA -- Sirius (with which I have an acount) arranges to have an automated dialer call my home advising me that there may be a problem w/ my account and to press zero to speak to a representative. After doing so and holding for almost 60 seconds -- unacceptable since they called me -- I am asked by the rep for my phone number. I explain that Sirius called me and that therefore it knew my phone number. The customer service rep indicated that he needed my phone number to continue; I gave it to him. Then he wanted my name, and after some back and forth, I gave that to him. Then he wanted my address at which point I told him that I was unwilling to provide it and asked to speak to his supervisor. I spoke with his supervisor, explained what had transpired, stated that since they called me at the number I gave them, I was unwilling to provide them further identifying information; he said, "no problem," and switched me back to the customer service rep who again wanted to know my address stating that he could not advise me of the problem unless I gave him that information. I explained to him I wasn't giving him any further information and that if indeed there was a problem with my account, they could send me a letter advising me about it. I wasted ten minutes speaking with these clowns. It remains to be seen whether they send me a letter advising me of the problem w/ my account.
