Linens and Things Complaint - Non-refunded return - returned item
HOLMDEL, NEW JERSEY -- Purchased a coffee maker on January 12th,2007. Item was returned same day within 6 hours. A week went by and called store to find out how long it
would be for my refund of $42.79 to be credited back into my checking account, I had made the purchase with my visa debit card. I was told by manager it would take 10-13 days. On January 30th,2007 still no refund had been credited which was well beyond the anticipated time, so I called the manager back and was told by her that the refund should have only taken 24-48 hours. Well, what happened? She examined her computer records and stated that according to what she has seen
was that the refund was put in and suggest I call my bank to find out what they have on their end. I took care of that immediately with the bank manager, whom told me that the initial debit was showing but no refund for the returned item was seen on file for the entire month of January. I then called Alexis back to tell her what the bank situation was. She replied, "Oh well there's nothing I can do, it's a banking issue and they"ll have to find out what happened" CLICK!
I was able to obtain a number to the Corporate office to speak to a person "more in charge" only to have made 4 phone calls in 3 days, to leave voicemails and no one to have the guts to call me back.
