Leapfrog Complaint - Will they replace it?

Review by lutman on 2007-02-05
DALEVILLE, VIRGINIA -- My son received the leapster lmax for Christmas. We can sometime get it o work and sometimes not. He has only played it a handfull of times. We tried new batteries several times. Sometimes it comes on with no picture or it will not come on at all etc. My dad does not have the receipt. How do I return or exchange this item?

I would first try doing an exchange at the store it was purchased from. Also, if it was bought with a credit card, they store can sometimes look up the order without a receipt. If that fails, see if Leapfrog will replace it. They have a reputation to uphold... they may just ask you send them the broken one and they will either fix it or send you a new one.

Maybe it's time to get "froggy" with LeapFrog!!!

You could always go out and buy a new one, swap it with the broken one, and return it with the receipt to where you bought it. It's going back to LF anyway, so no harm, no foul.

Good one KenPopcorn... I forgot about that tactic...

I like Ken's suggestion. Since I am not a fan of LeapFrog (read my complaint)they have one coming. I wouldn't count on them to do right by you and replace it since you don't have a receipt, and maybe not with a receipt. This way the store will handle it for you and Leap Frog can't get out of it. Good Luck
