Dove Compliment - Great Customer Service

Review by SilverWngs71 on 2007-02-06
When I had an issue with my Dove facial cleanser not foaming, I called the company and advised of the issue. Not only was there an apology, they also sent me a coupon for a free bottle up to $7.00 and a whole book of coupons for their Parent Company. I choose Dove every chance I get. Even have my daughter using Dove products.

Calling up and offering comments on a product usually does generate coupons for deep discounts, free stuff or sometimes a box of samples. Many manufacturers are actually interested in customer feedback, especially positive ones. They also do want to know about the bad things as well. But don't ask for the coupons. Let them make that move and you graciously accept. Pepsi once sent me 10 coupons for free 24-can cases because I told them their new version of diet Pepsi tasted too much like Tab.

It's good to hear the positive reviews. It also help us as comsumers to make better choices. I'm also quick to send positive feedback to a company, not to get stuff but I believe it's vital to keeping a good product on the shelves and hopefully keep the company from making any unnecessary changes with may change it for the worse. Causing them to jack up the prices to pay for those improvements. Once in a while the freebie gets mailed to me or coupons which I'm happy to accept.

Great to see this letter rather than the usual rants and raves we slug through. Good review.
