1800flycheap Complaint - Use of TWA ticket.
Dear Mr. Clancy,
I have been trying unsuccessfully for weeks to book a flight using a previously cancelled ticket purchased through your company. The orignial flight was a TWA flight booked on July 20, 2001 and cancelled (confirmation# X6QF72). At the time, your agent told us to call back within a year to rebook a flight. He informed us that there would be a $129 fee associated with this action. Now, we are being told that due to the TWA-AA merger, the ticket is not being honored by AA. Fine, except AA has assured us that this information is incorrect and that the ticket, negotiated or not, can be rebooked by the travel agent. TWA has been paid, you have been paid and it seems unreasonable that we are unable to utilize this ticket or receive a refund or voucher for travel. The TWA ticket number is 0157030924320. FYI- I have invested some 6 hours in this matter thus far making it the most expensive ticket ever issued within the continential U.S. Thank you very much for your time and consideration and for allowing me to vent a little. Have a great day!
To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following:
Re-ticket, refund, or voucher for travel...anything fair and reasonable.
At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident. Thank you for your time.
