McDonalds Corporation Complaint - Horrible Customer Service
PETERSBURG, VIRGINIA -- The service at the McDonald's in Petersburg, Va (2503 S. Crater Road) that my family and I try to avoid patronizing it. We drive the extra 8 miles to a neighgoring town to buy McDonald's. We have done this for the last 3 years. Ocassionally, time and circumstances forces my husband to visit our local McDonald's. Almost always there is some frustration.
I accept the fact that they don't honor coupons because they say they are complicated! I won't recount all the idiotic stories associated with that restaurant. I will tell you about today.
This morning running late my husband went to the restaurant at 2503 S. Crater Road in Petersburg, Va. We had unexpected visitiors so he ran to get breakfast for them. After waiting 25 minutes to place his order he asked for (2) Steak Bagels, (2) hot cake and sausage, and (4) Sausage McMuffins. He got back to the car and reviewed it's contents and noticed that he got only 1 steak bagel, 2 McMuffins, and hot cakes with no sausage. My husband went back in and said there was a mistake. The cashier told him he had to go to the back of the line!! We had people waiting so he said forget it.
I decided enough is enough. Customers should not be treated so rudely. I called and spoke to the manager. I told him the story. I told him I had to give my guests the food we had but that was not what we ordered. He asked if returning our money would make us happy. I told him this would be accecptable and that my husband would bring the receipt.
When my husband returned this afternoon with the receipt he was turned away. The manager said he would not return the money unless the food was returned!
I called back and asked for the name and address of the owner of the franchise to lodge a complaint. He refused to give it to me.
I am writing you because it is sad that I have to drive 8 miles to get people to act like 'humans'. That franchise makes mistakes. They probably make a ton of mistakes but they always say they are sorry and make an attempt to satisfy their customer.
The Petersburg store not only delivers poor service they are telling me I don't even have a right to complain.
I will find the owner's name. I will contact the Better Business Bureau. I will file a complaint. I should never have the privilege of paying for bad service and not have the right to complain.

To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following:
I want my husband's money returned and some sort of apology. I want the owner to be aware of how irresponsible his managers and staff are.
At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident. Thank you for your time.
