AMS Surgical Complaint - Penile Prosthesis - Penile Prosthesis Surgery

Review by piet10 on 2007-02-12
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- Penile Prosthesis - a warning to patients:

I have just had one of these placed due to a previous pelvic bone fracture.

I am very dissatisfied, as is my wife.

My penis is now 11/2 inches shorter and 1/2 inch thinner than my original, and it hurts. It is not very functional. It does not look and feel natural.

I do not recommend this for patients, except as a very last resort.. Stick to the injections.

Sorry for your misfortune. I am sure that what you are experiencing now, only adds to your previous frustrations. It is unfortunate that the results of your surgery where not more favorable. I do know, however, that measurements are taken prior to the implantation of the device to ensure that the patients length and width are the same or larger. Apparently, that did not happen in your case. Your post has enlightened those of us who are involved in surgeries such as yours, but who, never see the end result. Must say, I admire your courage for posting such a controversial subject.

If you're having trouble using it, I'm sorry, but you can at least say it looks and feels natural,if anyone happens to see it.

WOW! I admire your courage posting that bit of information. Wonder what they do for women that break the pelvic bone?

You don't hear that everyday.
