Panasonic Complaint - Installation Rebate / Misrepresentation / Consumer Fraud
NEW JERSEY -- During December I purchased a 50 inch Plasma TV based upon Panasonic indicating a $200.00 rebate on installation. My dealer brought this to my attention and combined costs involved but carefully noted on the receipt that the TV was to be installed. For three months Panasonic has only declined payment indicating they were unable to review my specific item in view of the "horrendous back log of complaints for the rebate offer". In all four calls have been unsuccessful.
The dealer is re-writing my receipt with individual breakdown which by the actions of Panasonic representatives may now may not be accepted.
Be cautious and avoid dealing with Panasonic, especially their rebate offers as it is obvious to me there are instructions not to make payments. Always an excuse and I was told they would not be concerned if I make any complaint.
