Tom Adams Builders Complaint - Failure to complete terms of agreement

Review by kswillis on 2007-02-14
GLENOLDEN, PENNSYLVANIA -- Tom Adams Builders was hired to do some backfill work around our home. We advanced him the payment ($500), so that he could afford to hire a crane to lift his bobcat out of a ditch that an employee had driven into. He agreed to return with his bobcat and do the backfill work. He never return, avoided our calls, made up excuses when we did get in touch with him and when finally confronted, told us that he would not be doing the work. He is keeping the money. If you are considering hiring Tom Adams Builders of Glenolden, PA -- don't!
Company Response on 09/13/2008:
Please see my previous written words somehow never posted. Karen Willis never had a contrat with us. She was a neighbor we were helping out. We did do over a weeks worth of work using our bobcat for FREE. We asked for $1,000 for our time, but only recieved $500.00. Our bobcat was not coming back to a property that took advantage of our good nature. Karen you will be sued in court for slander "neighbor". You were not our customer.

You should go to small claims. How much was the whole contract for?
