ST. PETERSBURG, FLORIDA -- Back in October 2006, my local postal carrier took it upon him/herself to forward my mail to the original sender. Each envelope got one of those cute, yellow stickies indicating I had "moved - left no forwarding address" on them. I have lived here for 5 years and empty my mailbox on a daily basis. To make a long story short...It took three months of complaining to the local office and then to the PO's Consumer Affairs Office. They finally acknowledged this was their error, but had no idea as to why the carrier did it or why it took me so long to get it fixed. I cannot tell you how aggravating it is to consistently not get your bills, bank statements, checks, W2's, etc. I have rec'd no explanation as to why this happened, and no guaranty that it won't happen again. I can't believe the US POST OFFICE can get away with this! If they were any other company, I would have fired them.
