JetBlue Complaint - Jet Blue Cancels People's Plans!
BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS -- I had scheduled a flight from Boston Logan to Richmond International on Saturday morning, February 17th, at 11 AM, on Jet Blue Airlines. My oldest son died a few weeks ago, and I was eager to spend a few days with his younger brother, who really needed my presence and comfort, dealing with our loss. I arrived at the airport at 9:30 AM and was informed that all the flights had been canceled. There was no advance advisory, as most airlines provide, no listing on their web site, you could not access their phone line. If any of the above had occurred, I could have atempted to make some other arrangements on an alternate carrier. Failing to achieve that, I would have rented a car and drove, that was how important this visit was to me. This was our only window of opportunity for this consolation and solace. Instead, I had to stand in line for over three hours, and was told that the only option offered was a full refund or rescheduling the flight, no sooner than Monday, and no later than May of this year! The agent was very sorry, but there was nothing else she could do. This airline held us hostage, just as they did all those travelers trapped in the Jet Blue plane on the runway for eleven hours, with no remorse whatsoever. And we are the victims, with no recourse. I will state, unequivocally, that I will never purchase tickets on this airline again.
